The Merseyway Innovation Centre creates a new shared working space that re-purp that offers flexible serviced office and coworking accommodation for new start up and existing small businesses.
Design work included new significant elements of external envelope to provide new and increased areas of glazing to provide better daylight and environmental upgrade of the existing fabric. An important element of the interior design is the use of colour to help navigate the user around the internal layout. Interest is added to circulation corridors using painted walls up to dado and picture rail levels. This serves to work with the exposed services concept and aligns with window transom heights, joinery and office lighting mounting heights to create a coordinated and holistic approach to the interior.
