Pedrali products are the star of the show at Microsoft’s Lisbon offices
Pedrali products were selected to furnish the tech giant’s new offices in Lisbon, a collaboration between OPENBOOK Architecture and Vector Mais.
Pedrali
Reflecting the changes in the way their employees are working, the design from OPENBOOK Architecture and Vector Mais incorporates a number of flexible and versatile settings that focus on employee wellbeing and creativity.
Housed in one of the most iconic buildings in the Parque das Nações neighbourhood in Lisbon, the headquarters of the technology giant are organised across four floors, creating a collaborative, open environment in which interaction and wellbeing are maximised – a sense of harmony between man and technology sits alongside textures and details from Portuguese culture.
The choice of furniture played a key role in the scheme, providing the setting with warmth and openness. The space was developed with functionality and sustainability at its heart, and has a total capacity of 1048 seats across 500 workstations and 105 rooms, with multiple purposes – from phone booths to meeting and conference rooms, to multifunctional rooms.
Designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli, Pedrali’s iconic Buddy poufs function well in the multifunctional rooms, offering multiple combinations and a friendly and welcoming touch to the space.
Aimed at creating small corners for socialising, Malmö armchairs, designed by CMP Design, offer the warm combination of ash wood and a plywood shell upholstered in fabric.
Outside, Pedrali’s Nolita outdoor armchairs (also designed by CMP) create informal meeting areas. Completely made of steel, the chairs are light and weather-resistant, and easy to move around to create spontaneous conversations. In the restaurant and café that sit above the Tago river, Intrigo chairs designed by Marco Pocci and Claudio Dondoli introduce a touch of colour that complement the tiles.

Malmö
MALMÖ
Designed by CMP Design
Malmö collection consists of a plywood shell in ash wood that appears suspended, nearly floating, on a solid wood frame. The design elements appear in their purity, thicker in the joints and tapered in a natural way to offer lightness and elegance.
Malmö Relax is an armchair with a large, cozy shell. Its high back supports the shoulders providing a perfect relaxation. The tapered ash wood and the sinuous and natural lines of the arms, with its pleasant touching, add comfort to the plywood shell upholstered in fabric or faux leather.
Buddy
BUDDY
Designed by Busetti Garuti Redaelli
The Buddy collection has been enriched with new elements that enhance its versatile, functional nature, featured by a contrast between the bold volumes of the seat and a slender, lightweight frame. The line comprises a chair, a two seats bench and a chaise lounge with generous backrests, combined with softly upholstered poufs – creating a family of soft modular seatings that reflect the friendly spirit of the collection.
The different sizes of the poufs and backrests, each available in two heights, allow multiple combinations: matching the varied needs of contemporary and multipurpose spaces from relaxation areas to airport lounges, through to latest-generation co-working spaces. A turning tablet can also be added to the configuration.
Nolita
NOLITA
Designed by CMP Design
Nolita is a family of outdoor seating which recalls the original metal garden chairs designed by Mario Pedrali in 1963. Completely made of steel, Nolita is designed specifically for outdoor use. The collection includes chair and armchair with two different back heights, lounge armchair, stools with two different heights, and a chaise lounge.
Intrigo
INTRIGO
Designed by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci
Intrigo is an elegant seat in its technicality. The efficient die-casting aluminum technology guarantees solidity and allows to achieve different sections for back, armrests and legs. The set of cushions for seats and backs extends the possibility of personalization, making the collection even more comfortable.
