Mute, OmniRoom - one of 17 new designs for collaborative work

On 1.10.2024, Mute rebranded OmniRoom as Mute Modular. Learn more about the rebranding here.

A comfortable plug-and-play office system that lends itself to hybrid workspaces, OmniRoom was launched by Mute earlier this year in answer to a demand for adaptable architecture in hybrid working environments. The system uses Mute’s patented ‘click-in system’ and technological innovations, and has been widely recognised, winning several top industry awards and nominations, including a trophy at this year’s Mixology23 Awards.

Now, four months after its launch, Mute has expanded an essential part of the OmniRoom system with the addition of pre-designed “Rooms” and configurations users can choose from. Amongst the 17 new additions are ten multifunctional hubs that consist of different areas.

The hubs offer two, three or four functions, combining open or closed areas like meeting rooms, office pods, and lounge spaces under one roof. “The modern workplace is undergoing rapid and exciting changes, focusing more than ever on flexibility, sustainability, and employee wellbeing. By creating office fit-outs with products that support adaptable architecture, organisations can respond to these new challenges seamlessly,” comments Mute’s CEO, Szymon Rychlik.

According to Mute, OmniRoom now offers the largest collection of adaptable office spaces on the market, soon to reach 100 ready-to-use Rooms and hubs including office pods, meeting rooms, lounge areas, workstations and collaboration zones to name a few. Declared to be easier, cheaper and more ‘earth-friendly’ than fixed constructions, specifiers can use OmniRoom to create varied structures from the same modules, resulting in increased workspace flexibility.

Further benefits are felt during the assembling phase thanks to Mute’s patended click-in system which removes the need for tools. The office acoustics specialist believes it offers the largest collection of adaptable office spaces on the market – with close to 100 ready-to-work Rooms and hubs for designers to choose from. “In today’s modern work environment, a one-size-fits-all approach is no longer sufficient,” adds Kamil Smolnik, the company’s products and services director. “OmniRoom is infinitely flexible and has already surprised us with how many ways it can be utilised. It fits as well in a bank lobby or call centre fit-out as it does in a car repair shop.”

OmniRoom will be presented on the 27th and 28th February 2024 at Workspace Design Show in London. It’s also available to explore in Mute’s showrooms in London, Munich, and it’s headquarters in Galew, Poland.
