In response to talent retention and wellbeing continuing to be a core focus for employers, IVC Commercial welcomes Pattern to its collections. A carpet tile made up of three designs, Pattern explores our relationship with the modern office.

“No longer are offices geared solely to productivity,” comments IVC’s product manager, Jeroom van Lindt, “They’re about creating an environment that’s inclusive and supportive no matter how you like to work or collaborate to get the job done. It’s the many styles of working persona that offices must accommodate which have inspired our three designs.”

Balanced

With a strong sense of routine, rhythm, rules and boundaries, Balanced has a settled and structured look that reflects personalities whom seek order in their working life – and is intended best for desking and boardroom areas.

Tailored

Contrastingly, Tailored is inspired by the self-control of those who are adept at switching between solo tasks and collaborative work. Its structure flows more freely and breaks at random to give a look that’s suited to spaces embracing today’s many different ways of working.

Unchained

In juxtaposition to Balanced’s restrained outlook, Unchained references expressive personalities that put freedom before all else. Its structure roams freely from one place to the next and is the carpet tile for areas driven by creativity.

Van Lindt continues: “Alternatively, [specifiers could] characterise the company through its carpet tile – Balanced in a financial institution, Tailored in a tech firm and Unchained in a media agency. Pattern is a really agile and adaptable collection.” Specifiers will find three designs available in the same palette of 16 colours. From tone-on-tone greys to blues and warm neutrals, there’s a suitable colour for many modern offices.

Each Pattern carpet tile is made using Thrive matter, the world’s first carbon negative yarn with the world’s lightest production footprint and consisting of 90% recycled content. Thrive matter is third-party certified with 1.45kg of embodied carbon emissions for every 1 kg produced. This already low number is brought below zero by partnering with Carbonfund.org in support of forest conservation and reforestation projects around the world.
