One of Ultrafabrics‘ most beloved collections, Ultraleather is recognised for its supple touch, natural grain and lasting performance. The classic collection has now received a contemporary update with 10 fresh shades in celebration of the fabric brand’s 25th anniversary, expanding the current offering to over 70 choices, ensuring its relevance in today’s design landscape and beyond. Ultraleather’s new hues are inspired by colour nuances, otherwise known as colour sensibility: drawing inspiration from the impact artists have had on colour application across the design industry, a selection of timeless yet modern shades has been introduced into the Ultraleather palette.
The new shade choices have been categorised by the feeling they evoke: for instance, the ‘Serene, Adaptable, Warm’ palette includes Citronella, Canyon Clay, Cocoa Nib and Classic Grey, while ‘Revitalising, Balanced, Lush’ includes High Seas, Olive Leaf and Emerald Isle. More palette options include ‘Cozy, Subtle, Organic’, which consists of the shades Mothwing, Earthenware and Flagstone.
Making a stronger commitment to sustainability, Ultraleather now contains over 50% rapidly renewable resources and its woven backcloth incorporates TENCEL™ Modal, a man-made cellulosic fiber produced from renewable beech wood. As well as containing no intentionally added PFAS, the collection is free of PVC, plasticizer phthalates and formaldehyde, SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified and REACH compliant. Ultrafabrics have committed that by 2025, all its collections will include rapidly renewable and/or recycled ingredients: these new ingredients are scalable, plentiful, and maintain our performance standards, such as recycled pre- and post-consumer plastic and bio-based resins.
With a timeless texture and soft touch, exceptional durability (with industry-leading 16 weeks hydrolysis results and 180,000 Martindale rubs and easy cleaning, Ultraleather can be used for any application ranging from contract furniture and lounge seating to healthcare, RVs, marine, and aviation environments.
