Impact Acoustic
UK & EuropeCrafted from its in-house acoustic absorber ARCHISONIC® Felt – which upcycles 88 post-consumer PET bottles per square metre – the new lighting range from Impact Acoustic offers both aesthetic appeal and environmental consciousness. Created in partnership with Swiss architecture firm atelier oï, Oloïd is described as ‘acoustic luminaire with character’, for which Impact Acoustic explored new dimensions of material and machine potential.
This venture into redesigning the signature ARCHISONIC® Felt not only represents a commitment to material innovation, but also to sustainability and intuitive design. Made to be more than just a source of light, Oloïd strikes a balance between aesthetics and sound absorption, aiming to enhance the atmosphere of indoor environments. In pursuit of its eco-conscious principles, Impact Acoustic also incorporated modular parts for effortless customisation, aided by the choice of 32 curated colours.
This new collaboration with atelier oï aims to set a benchmark for creative and sustainable design, with Oloïd offering a unique blend of light and acoustic absorption in the hope of redefining spatial design. With this hybrid approach, designers and architects alike can therefore personalise spaces and create immersive environments, combining lighting and acoustic solutions in one stroke.
