Humanlumen: a new lighting brand with a human-centric approach
Launching Spring 2020, humanlumen is a new lighting brand led by a collective of lighting professional and experts.
Able to understand the interplay of structural form and lighting, and work with architects and design teams to provide original concepts, the brand came about from a need to do things in a different way. With an aim to change the landscape in which interior designers and consultants approach their lighting concepts, the humanlumen portfolio covers key sectors including workplace, education, residential, health care, sports and leisure, retail, hospitality and transport hubs.
At the helm is Andrew Boydell, a principal with over 24 years experience working within the construction sector on high-profile interior projects both in Europe and the Middle East. His most recent role was Regional Director for Future Designs in the UAE, a designer and manufacturer of high quality luminaires and bespoke lighting solutions. Prior to that he was General Manager at The Nordeon Group UAE, global architectural lighting specialists.
It’s our aim to have our clients to think strategically about lighting – whether the goal is to use the visual and emotional impact of light to strengthen brand experiences or to lower carbon emissions and save on energy bills.
Andrew has ambitious plans for the brand. “Our creative team is based in Clerkenwell in the heart of London’s design scene, the obvious choice with all the experience we have collectively in the local and international lighting market and our aim is to develop the brand globally. With the use of innovative software design, alongside the vast range of products that we design and manufacture, we will offer relevant and creative solutions.”
The humanlumen product portfolio encompasses over 3000 lighting designs including a high-specification downlight, track and spot and linear pendant range. The mix also accounts for both indoor and outdoor use to serve a vast range of lighting schemes.
Humanlumen is based at Clerkenwell Lighthouse, 32 Dallington Street, London, EC1V 0BB.
