The vision of Norwegian designers Skogstad & Wærnes, the BUD collection is tailored to meet the needs of agile, modern environments. A chair that stands out from the traditional, Fora Form’s BUD range remains fun and youthful while also offering an intriguing seating concept wherever – and however – people choose to meet, work and collaborate.

BUD boasts  a noticeable presence as a single piece of furniture, but thanks to the design of the back cushion, also helps to create a more open, engaging office aesthetic when placed around a table with multiple chairs. More practically, the lowered back with its curved, oval silhouette makes people more accessible to one other regardless of the setting, while the ergonomic design offers users excellent back support. The BUD collection can therefore serve multiple functions as a meeting, dining, or an informal companion.

“Minimalist yet comfortable, we wanted BUD to stand alone and also function in larger numbers without creating a wall of backrests,” explains designer Fredrik Wærnes. “BUD’s backrest allows you to move around in the chair and interact with others, while during focused work such as with a computer on the table, the armrests relieve the elbows.”

Tailored for maximum flexibility and customisation, the seating range offers the choice of four different bases: BUD Stack, a stackable four-legged model; BUD Rotate, a four-legged variant with a swivel base for additional movement; BUD Meet, a meeting chair with a four-star, static base (ideal for focused moments that require minimal noise from rolling wheels); and BUD Unite, a meeting chair with a four-star base and wheels (the latter designed for dynamic, collaborative work environments where mobility and connection are key). Both BUD Meet and Unite also feature stepless a tilting mechanism that swings 360 degrees, and are now available in four new playful lacquer colours with the Sahara structure.
