Embodied Beauty from Interface

Mixology North21 Awards Finalist – Product of the Year: Flooring

10/11/2021 1 min read

With Embodied Beauty™, Interface has created first-of-their-kind carpet tiles that are not just carbon neutral, but carbon negative – actively reducing carbon levels in the atmosphere. Made from at least 82.7% recycled and bio-based content and with a carbon footprint of -0.3kgCO2eq./m2, the tiles help businesses reverse the impact of global warming and are backed by an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) that contributes to all major green building standards.

Shishu Stitch™, Tokyo Texture™ and Zen Stitch™ are the carbon negative carpet tiles that form part of Interface’s Embodied Beauty™ collection. These tiles are a key milestone in Interface’s journey to becoming a fully carbon negative enterprise by 2040. The collection has been designed to restore the planet’s health and lower the carbon footprint of commercial spaces, supporting businesses in making sustainable flooring choices without sacrificing style or functionality.
