Arper introduces new collections at London Design Festival 2022

During London Design Festival, visitors to the Arper showroom will have the opportunity to discover Arper’s latest collections designed by Doshi Levien, Peter Kunz, Altherr Désile Park, Jean-Marie Massaud and James Irvine.

Arper is also taking part in CDW’s Clerkenwell Design Trail on September 20-21, as the two day celebration takes over the area with engaging events and creative activities.

On Tuesday 20 September the Clerkenwell showroom will host Meet the Designers, a private event with Doshi Levien in conversation with Arper’s Head of Product and Design Nicolò Fanzago, exploring new sofa collection Shaal and the importance of collaboration between product design and manufacturing.

New for 2022, Shaal expands Arper’s sofa offering, marrying comfort and flexible modular configuration. A supportive shell cradles Shaal’s deep cushioning, elevating the form off the ground. Shaal brings together the heightened comfort of residential furnishings with the adaptability of modular construction, comprising six core modules which can be combined to create angular or linear 2 or 3-seater configurations that expand and adapt to different spatial needs for home, office, or hospitality. Removable upholstery can be replaced to extend its life, and components and materials can be separated for recycling.

Arper will showcase the entirety of its new 2022 collection, including the new Oell side tables designed by Jean-Marie Massaud. This sculptural side table balances on a cylindrical base as smooth and substantial as a stone, and is available in two heights, two table-top diameters, and a considered palette of finishes.

Designed by James Irvine, Juno 02 embodies new possibilities for plastic with a whisper, not a shout. In 2012, Juno redefined the plastic chair with the minimal gesture of its slim silhouette. Now, years later, Juno 02 reimagines this enduring expression in sustainable plastic and a new palette inspired by the natural world. At once elegant and efficient, simple and sleek, its subtle texture and finish bring refined materiality to the classic form.

From Peter Kunz, the Aeeri table bends a single sheet of steel into a slender, sculptural table – inspired by origami. Incredibly thin and light, Aeeri radically dematerialises the table, ‘tracing the form’s line to find its very essence.’ The result is a table that’s pure and clean, timeless and elegant.

Another stylish table offering from the Italian brand, Ghia by Altherr Désile Park is a collection of low tables with soft and sculptural forms and nature-inspired materials. Balancing the geometric and organic, the collection has countless configuration options.
