Amtico Bio – Signature in Kirby Oak laid in DC549 French Weave
Amtico’s bio-attributed LVT flooring offering is now available to specify across the Signature, Spacia, Form and Marine collections, plus the manufacturer’s laying patterns, 36+ safety floors and Acoustic options. This expansion broadens the design possibilities of Amtico Bio and allows specifiers to create interiors that are also lower in their carbon footprint compared to specifying standard LVT.
Amtico Bio is chemically and physically identical to Amtico’s standard LVT products – it provides the same high-quality and unrivalled designs but with a smaller environmental impact. Plus, the planks and tiles also feature the unique benefits of each collection, such as Signature’s 1mm wear layer and 20-year commercial warranty.

Carefully audited renewable biomass-based raw materials, including used cooking oil, are processed into ethylene, which is used to produce bio-attributed PVC before it is turned into LVT flooring at Amtico’s factory in Coventry. The process is independently audited by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), which sets out the stringent auditing process and promotes compliance, third-party verification and traceability throughout the supply chain to provide clients with additional value and proof of sustainability. To ensure transparency, designers who specify Amtico Bio will be provided with a sustainability declaration to guarantee all requirements and claims have been met, and demonstrate the carbon savings.
Amtico Bio – Spacia in Powdered Oak laid in Parquet, Gibson laid in Uniform Tile and strip feature in Sea
To ensure bio-attributed flooring is affordable and accessible for all projects, the ‘mass balance’ principle is used in the PVC manufacturing process. This incorporates renewable biomass materials into Amtico’s existing manufacturing processes, rather than creating costly new ones.
Designers and specifiers can choose from four distinctive collections, as well as laying patterns, safety flooring and acoustic options, to create beautiful floors that have a lower carbon footprint. Amtico’s flooring material, with its low number of VOCs, can be recycled at the end of its life, reducing its long-term environmental impact. This is beneficial both during the design concept stage and when it is no longer required.
