Amtico flooring collaboration with national trust

Expanding on Amtico’s premium Décor X National Trust collection, this collaboration boasts six original flooring designs with a 1mm wear layer in meticulously curated colours and patterns. For instance, the unique geometric shape of Venetian Parquet draws inspiration from the intricate embroidery on Lady Mary Curzon’s iconic 1903 peacock dress, which is displayed at Kedleston Hall. With its roots in traditional Indian embroidery, these designs see the peacock feather reimagined in a contemporary take on parquet and the range is available in both Wood and Stone.

Taking notes from the Hall itself, Amtico’s Corinthian design evokes the relief work in the ornate ceilings of the Ante-Room and does so in three stunning stone colourways: Cornice, Capitol and Cove. Also looking to the intricate ceilings found in Kedleston Hall, but this time in the Grand Saloon, Temple Diamond has three contrasting marble combinations.

Finally, the Akari Lattice design blends authentic Woods with an effortless pattern to showcase the movement and texture of the grain. This motif was influenced by a gilt fretwork cabinet commissioned and crafted in the eighteenth century by London cabinet maker John Linnel, demonstrating how Amtico welcomed the décor, architecture, and history of this National Trust property into their new collection.

Lorna Williams, Head of Product Design and Visual Creation at Amtico, said: “We are thrilled to launch our second collection with National Trust. Where our primary edit celebrated National Trust properties throughout the UK, this Kedleston Hall Edit is particularly special for us.

“Our design team were mesmerised by this property and its truly unique period features. From the stone coffering and plaster mouldings that delicately line the ceilings, to the ornate textile patterns that adorn Mary Curzon’s iconic peacock dress, we have curated a collection that seamlessly blends traditional style with a contemporary look and feel to create beautiful and versatile statement flooring for any space.”
