The business has gone from strength to strength, with a current workforce of over 200 and remains driven by the passion of founder J B O’Hagan, which is now instilled across the entire team at Specialist Group.

‘In addition to Joinery, we have invested in new manufacturing capabilities for bespoke Glass components and also the manufacturing of Metal components and bespoke interior features for a broad range of fit out projects,’ comments Group Managing Director, Ciaran O’Hagan. ‘This represents a really efficient package for clients, and places Specialist Group in an ideal position to offer enhanced services to the industry. Our ability to plan complex projects for all three packages together, and consolidate site management, installation and transport is definitely the way forward as we work together to produce amazing places in which people can live or work.’

Initially customers will see a transition to a new corporate identity and the release of the company’s new website, showcasing the full capabilities across Joinery, Glass and Metal. This move towards a more integrated approach facilitates seamless project planning for joinery, metal and glass packages.

Ciaran explains: ‘Our internal design team members have always been dedicated in their interaction with client design teams and this integrated approach across our Joinery, Glass and Metal divisions provides the optimum project planning solution. With a large stock of veneers in house and our product sampling service across glass and metal projects, we have great scope to help visualise a designer’s vision from the outset, often stretching the boundaries beyond expectation with our innovative approach.’

Specialist Group has been particularly active in seeking out new ways to support the construction industry by keeping a close eye on the market’s changing needs in this fast moving sector. This can be seen in Specialist Group’s move to using only 100% renewable energy sourced from local wind farms. Taken together with the continued investment programme, these developments point to the future ambitions of what is already, an award winning team.
